2014 FRC Control Systems
The 2014 FRC control system is composed of the following components:
- Robot battery
- 120A circuit breaker
- Power distribution board
- Snap action circuit breakers
- NI cRIO
- Digital Sidecar
- Analog breakout board
- Solenoid breakout board
- D-Link router
- 12V - 5V Power convertor
- Axis M1013 (Camera)
- Jaguar motor controller
- Talon motor controller
- Victor 888 motor controller
- Spike H-bridge relay
- and other small parts
The diagram above represents the 2013 FRC control system. Although it was a year ago, the components are mostly the same and designed to connect to each other the same way. The power distribution board in the middle distributes the power to all of the other components. For example, it powers the NI cRIO with 24V and the sidecars with 5V. The blue lines represent the connection between devices that communicate with each other. As you can see the D-Link router is connected with the NI cRIO using an ethernet cable.
